This is a Sears Spaceliner that I restored. The bike was mostly complete when I started but I was able to find NOS pedals, seat and rear reflector. One interesting thing about the chrome frame Spaceliners is that the chrome was clear coated at the factory. Over time the clear 'yellows' and I can tell you it took a lot of time getting the clear off and the frame polished up!

I am dealing with cleaning up two of these right now. And yes,, that clear coat is a real pain. Still trying to deal with it. Even good strippers will not remove it. Yours is super good looking.

Thanks Vontrike, I've been waiting to see yours!
Ultimately, I used a dull razor blade to scrape the clearcoat off. It's still time consuming but it was the quickest way I could come up with!

I love it, I have 2 from 1960, one is original, the other I blinged up a bit.

      Thanks guys!
I'm thinking about repainting the tank and rack a more accurate color, more of a candy metallic red.

I just purchased one and it is almost complete except for the tank. Any idea where I could get one?
