Here is a super little vase I got at the bi-monthly antiques fair today!
I spotted it within a few minutes of walking in & it was a real old school bargain, too - just $10.
The squat, rose bowl type vase is made from cased glass in a bright lemon yellow with subtle orange vertical streaks & an iridescent satin finish. No obvious UV response despite the colour.
It measures 6 cm tall, 7.5 cm across the neatly cut & polished top rim, & 5 cm across the base.
In perfect condition with no chips on the top rim! This may have once had a metal flower grille, but due to the immaculately finished top, it displays very nicely without one.
I will get another picture of this outdoors in natural light when it finally stops raining!
I guess most likely Bohemian origin, circa early 1900s. Anyone recognise this decor?
