When I saw it on eBay it didn't look right, there was a piece of wood between the base and the clock. When I opened it up there was a Pennwood movement in the clock (Lawson's aren't drilled to hold a Pennwood movement), I removed it and replaced it with a Lawson movement I had in reserve. It runs beautifully. The Pennwood motor that I removed runs beautifully also, just not in a Lawson case.
