I think this is most likely the coolest piece of Tango glass in my collection as of today. Found it as a buy it now on eBay AU, & boy did I hit that buy it button FAST. You see, I'd only ever seen one other Tango top hat, & that was around 30 years ago. It was pink(!) not orange like this one. Being a poor art student, I had to spread my meagre resources very thinly, so having already committed to buying a paperweight, I thought I'd come back another time & get that little pink hat. Of course, someone else more savvy & cashed up than me bagged it in the meantime. The regrets were long lasting...sadly for me I possess an elephantine memory.
Anyway, this one is bright orange, with a black crest. It measures 9.5 cm tall, 10.5 cm across the top rim, & 7.3 cm across the base, which has a neatly polished out pontil mark.
In perfect condition.
Czech origin, circa 1920s/30s era.

Spectacular!!! Being a collector of top hats myself, I love this!!
Many thanks, Scott! There's quite a few glass top hats to be found, they seemed to become popular in the Victorian era, & later, Fenton made them in milk glass. The Tango ones seem rather rare.
