This 2"L goldtone turtle brooch has a patched back shell design with abalone framed by small white rhinestones. From Napier with mark on the back ca 1990s

Scott thank you for your wonderful comment, yes the colors from abalone shell are really beautiful & changeable with movement, most were made in Mexico in the past where abalone were abundant
