Canada Coat of Arms, Cast Iron ( A Mari Usque Ad Mare) (From Sea to Sea)
This is the most recent Coat of Arms of Canada that I purchased from a said RCMP outpost near Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
It is 76 Centimeters in height and about the same in width. The Arms have a good depth of about 4 inches thick to them. This iron one weighs in at 105 pounds and luckily I have a concrete wall to attach them to. Obviously the painter did his job with pinpoint accuracy. There probably was a small piece missing and that might be a small separate crown that went above it, so I am on the lookout for that. This one is a different style than the other 2 that I own. I am showing the other 2 coat of arms which are different sizes but otherwise identical to each other in situ. I remember a fair amount of people wanting one at the time. Coats of arms come up so rarely at auction and even finding one came so long ago. I bought this one as the condition was impeccable and the paint job was excellent !~

"Impeccable" would appear to be a prerequisite for anything I've seen that you own Phil. :)
Majestic coat of arms, it's gorgeous in every way & looks wonderful in your home
Thank you BHIFOS for your kind words, I appreciate your comment !~
Thank you Jenny, I think the same it seems !~
I absolutely love this! It is super fantastic!
What a room! Just amazing.
The chairs caught my eye. My mother bought a pair in 1972 (both shaped like the one on the left). They are light cream wood with gold painted accents and were originally upholstered in a light sage velvety fabric. I have managed to hang on to these chairs for over 50 years and currently have them in storage. I'm about to have them reupholstered a 2nd time for my home in Florida. Thinking deep blue upholstery with the cream and gold, but still undecided. Thrilled to see similar chairs on occasion in other collections.
Thank you JFMCO, I am glad you found a pair. "Traditional" style furniture is worth looking up and are found in some auctions from titme to time. My copy has the label of Eatons dated 1950 on the underside. I got mine in the 80's.
Such amazing taste in decor xoxo
