    Got this from an estate sale in lot that was marked Japanese WWII medals - I can't find an exact match on Google that says what it is. Anybody know what this medal is called and when it would be from - also what metal it might be

      Thanks BHIFOS - I wish the listing gave more info on this item but found a couple historical societies in Kyoto so will try writing them and see if they can give me more info

      Military award for bravery, leadership, or command in battle. 1947 was the last year they were made
