This is my third CW post concerning Loetz 'Intarsia' glass. The history and the significance of the Loetz invented decoration technique is commented in my CW-stories/322056 (2024) and a early signed bowl is shown in stories/272773 (2019). In the earlier posted examples, the 'Intarsia' decor consists out of applied round red glass plates, hanging as cherries on a transparently enameled brown branch with green leaves. The similarity between the decoration of the earlier discussed objects with those shown here is such striking, that there remains no doubt about their Loetz production (though similarly decorated sets are often assigned to Moser). The body of the carafe schown in PN=I/7941 (1899) exhibits the very same shape, but is without handle and spout. PN's of complete drinking sets are very rare.
The carafe stands H=34.0 cm, with stopper H=41.0 cm heigh, the maximum diameter is Dm=10.5 , at the bottom Du=8.5 cm, it has a polihed pontil and weights 1032 gr.
The wine glases have H=14.0 cm Do=6.5 Du=6.5 cm, they are blown from top and the weight is 97 gr each.
