I found this at a thrift today. I liked the patina and it has a nice weight. Dragons chasing the pearl around the edges along with some other symbols I'm not quite familiar with. I think it was used as a censor, from the way the inside looks. I'd love to know more about it. Thanks!

well this is a whole different ballgame then MECHECONI,s deep pocket-AMITHABA TATHAGATA, lol
first of all i think it is brass, second of all it is a sort of potpouri
well itis a dragon chasing the ( flaming ?) pearl design which is rather out of proportion
and they comined the social antroposohics they isolate one of the DAOIST EMBLEMS, namelij the CAO GUOJIU09 ( castanets)who was the holy hot shot of theaters actors
border design is a type of containment concept of ( greek border)normally they use the meander border ( see artefacts GIZAH platform around KHUFU egypts, contemporain mitla ( mexican )
then i forgot my pinyin as usual as an old fart , but i think it is a smasher ( like the inside of a flower design )
the rest of the depiction is the so called YUNWEN and LEIWEN, clouds and thunder design
normally you got an excellent tast and knowledge ,but in mi opinion this is just cute
