Coulter Lamp Company Lamps, Chrome and Copper Versions
This Lamp was produced only in Canada Circa 1946-7
A lot of them are marked Coulter Lamp Co., Canada, dated 1947
The company possibly only opened shortly after the second world war ended, when a lot of companies were just starting up ! These were not made in the States of which Canada is not a part of, and does not wish to be a part of. A lot of people assume these were made in the U.S., but they were only made in Canada ! I rather doubt they were made before the Second World war, but I could be wrong on that assumption. It would be nice to know more of the company but right now at this time there is no info on the web and I have not found any information in books as of this time of posting. In my home I had also bought these in various parts also to make up lamps as illustrated in the last photo. I have not posted here the chrome version as it destroys for me the illusion they create when shown in the copper metal.
Those are cool! I don't think I've seen them before.

3- When I got out of high school I drove from New Orleans to the Newfoundland ferry landing in Nova Scotia,,Then I Hitchhiked for three months across Canada
so of course I know Canada is definitely not America and I certainly hope it never is
The Canadians I met were the most human people I have ever met ,, and hospitable that’s why it took so long to get across Canada
