      Medium: Sterling, Vermeil, Swarovski Crystal
In his autobiography My Life/My Art , Erte writes: "Drawing has been my favorite pastime from the age of three or four, so when I was taught to read and write, I was absolutely fascinated by the alphabet." It stands to reason that the graphic edition of his famous Alphabet is one of the famous artist's best-known and most sought-after works.Erte's phenomenally successful "Art to Wear" project engrossed the artist during the last ten years of his life. It is no wonder that he turned for inspiration to one of his favorite themes.
