This is a fairly beat up but still beautiful Bellova shade, but I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of fixture it would go with -- lamp, sconce, desk lamp, etc. It is about 5.5" tall and 7 " at the widest point. It is flat on the back with a 2.5" x 3" cutout where the maker's mark is, giving the bell a semicircular shape. It is mounted on a Bellova boudoir lamp just for the photo. It fits on this lamp, but not very well. Thanks for any insights, Chris

It looks like it was meant for a wall light ???

Moonstone lover, thank you for the welcome.

Ozmarty, thank you for your comment. I do think it could be for a wall sconce. In that case, it would probably be inverted from how the pictures above are oriented. The fixture would also probably have a smallish socket holder jutting out from the wall as well as a piece jutting out into the recessed portion of the back of the shade. I just have never seen a fixture with just this kind of arrangement and it is hard to imagine something when all you have is empty space to fill in...

Just a wild guess but perhaps a headboard light?

Hi....your shade is DEFINITELY from a wall sconce. It fit into a bronze plated base metal fixture that mounted to the wall. Please contact me though my website or you can write to me directly via email at and we can chat some more about the shade or any other Emeralite or Bellova lamp or fixtrue. Thanks, Bruce Bleier,
