    Found this in a pawn shop in upstate NY. Beautiful blade, Damascus steel, copper nails..stamped with skull and crossbone and what looks like a Phoenix

      The shape & style appears Scottish but the scull & X-bones don't to me.

      Yeah that skullXbone has me stumped. The pheonix too.

      Looks like an assemblage of pieces to create the knife. I don't think it has a lot of age, although some of the pieces may be older.

      The grip looks to be artificially aged-- shows dark ink vs. true age patina.

      I don't like the blade marks-- may have been added to sell as a "pirate knife".
