This is one of my favourite pieces of Antique Moonstone jewelry. This is from England and is one of the most elegant pieces I have ever seen! This measures 17.5 inches with a 2.75 drop.....solid 9ct rose gold!!! Sorry for bad pictures....

Beautiful piece, I just had to look deeper into this moonstone. It said the Romans believed it was born from solidified rays of the moon, and both the Romans and Greeks associated Moonstone with their lunar gods and goddesses. Pretty interesting history of your favorite gemstone Lee !!

MattyG, the history of the Moonstone is what drew me to it! Thank you for taking an interest in one of my passions! This necklace is in the safe! This will be an heirloom to one of the girls. I am blessed to even have this was among costume jewelry and got very lucky! :))) I am accumulating to one day put a down payment on a house or condo !

I lived in TX I did not like it and wow Fl is so hot whew . Where are you now ? You can email me if you want your location :-)

I love this necklace and the pictures are really pretty- captures some of the glimmer and I'm sure looks even more gorgeous worn. As for where to buy....even tho there are hurricanes living on the coast in FL or TX is the way to go - and yes it is steamy hot but that's how it is. New Mexico is nice and dry and not quite as hot as Arizona if you're a bit further north. I wish I could buy something here but that hasn't happened yet. I have 3 sisters and we've been discussing a retirement home - an old 2 or 3 story bldg. somewhere in a small town that we can use the first floor as a gallery or museum or store or something but live up top in a few rooms or more for a few months out of the year. Doesn't this sound like the way to go!
