I have one piece of Durand glass and this is it. What is normally referred to as zipper, Quezal and Durand called Block-A-Dot. Emil Larson called this a gladiola vase. It is shape #1714 and is 14 inches tall. (2004)

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I try to concentrate my collecting those pieces that are rare and unusual, and I greatly appreciate your positive comments. For published pictures of this vase's decoration with slight variations, see Meschi's "Durand The Man and His Glass" vase #432 on page 100, and figure #38-(1) on page 41 of "Glass Threads" by the Museum of American Glass. Also, Quezal used this decoration on several shades, and rarely on vases. (See Roberts shade #246)
