About Blenko Art Glass

William J. Blenko's vision was to sell American-made 'antique' (mouth blown) glass instead of having it imported from Europe. His West Virginia based company originally sold sheet glass, but broke into the tableware market in the 1930's. Business boomed, and Blenko ultimately became known for their ornamental bottles, vases, and decanters.
