There was a talk on this Forum a short while ago about turning utensil handles into jewelry, and I remembered I had a necklace made from handles. When I bought it, it took me a while to realize what it was made of: the larger components may be fork handles, the smaller ones in the center - not quite sure what they used to be (pickle forks? fondue?), they may have been cut down. It is put together well and looks good.

Are the white centerpieces made of some other material do you think? I thought I remember reading somewhere that most white bakelite turns a yellowish color over time. Its really a neat piece:)

The round pearls and the necklace-sticks are ivorine for sure. Maybe the pickle fork handles are bone.

Yes, the centerpiece looks and feels a bit different.
