Hello there - I have been trying to find out the manufacturer of this glass egg, and while I sometimes get close, I've had no luck so far. It's likely European, but other than that, I don't know. It was bought in Canada by a relative. Hoping someone can help. Thanks again.

Boy, this is a fun one. I would narrow it down to Italy or Czech. Are the photos from a gallery? I see M.M. Handells on the bottom? Dave

Hi Dave, thanks for your reply. I agree also that it's prob Czech. I wish I could narrow it down to a maker. This is from a family collection, and that is a relative's initials- the one who organized the photography. It's going to be up for sale soon.

Czech are hard to pin point, they mostly place foil labels on the bottom or side "Made in Czech". Here is my Secret Label website, Don't tell anyone I gave this to you! It has tons of vintage art glass labels so you can look one up. LOL

I have several Czech glass liqueur sets, including an egg. First, they come in bright Tango colors. Second, most show enameling or coralene work. third: Invariably marked on the metal "Made in Czechoslovakia." Somehow this one does not strike me as Czech--the metal appears to be silver!

Alfedo is right, I do see most of the Czech pieces with enamel or painted. I have looked in just about every book I have and nothing. It would have to lean to Italy at this point, but who? Dave

Dear Alfredo and Dizzydave, thanks for your insight. I believe the metal is brass - I have to do some other photography today, and will get the egg out to do some closeup work. Thanks again.
