I bought a large batch of Douglas Aircraft today. There are 21 6" x 9" photos with information on the aircraft on the back of each photo. These are from about 1956 as there is no information of the aircraft past that date.
On the F5D Douglas did not know that the order would be cancelled after four aircraft in 1956.
For the X-3 the shape of things to come was the F 104 Starfighter. A design that was not repeated after that.
