Just a neat bank with late 1915 patent. Directions on back.

When it reaches 10 dollars, the bottom automatically pops open.

It still dings when you pull down on the lever.

How much is 'in the register' is told in the view-ports seen on the front.

Sweet, My father still has one that belonged to my Great Grandfather, same time period as yours, but I believe its black. I think these might still be made.

Sooo cool Spirit! So I guess basically this is an antique piggy bank which can't be cracked open... As a kid, I couldn't have waited to save $10. This would have driven me crazy! LOL

Olebodie, it only takes up to half dollars.

Rick55, I used to try and roll most of my coins. Still have a few old rolls.

I remember using a big Pink Piggy. I would stick a butter knife in the slot and take out coins little by little LOL

I had a solid glass block with just a hole to put the coins in-- no hole to take them out. So I'd shake it upside down and pull coins out through that small slot. It was so loud! I'd use a knife to push them, too, till they'd slip through and let me remove them. Still a few in there.
