Here are some other bottles from my collection that I thought some of you may enjoy viewing. I believe they are from around 1900-1910. They are both about 3 inches tall with no chips or cracks in a beautiful amber color.

I appreciate you stopping by to take a look at my items. If you want check out my other bottles listed in my collection on here for they may be of interest to you. Take care and have a blessed day my friend! : )

Those are cool! I have a poison bottle packed away that I had dug up years ago. The bottom said Bowkers Pyrox. Never did find out what that meant. Do you know? Thanks for posting your bottles.

cindyjune Bowker's Pyrox was an insecticide/fungicide powder that was used to protect plants. The jars with the glass lid and metal band date around the 1910s-20s. Later ones had a metal screw cap, but still have the POISON embossing. There were also larger stoneware Bowker's Pyrox containers. Bowker's jars are fairly common, but I always enjoy finding them. This was taken from a antique bottles forum post by a Jim. Also below is an Ebay listing that may be the one you have.
