Liberty & Co Silver and Moonstone Necklace by William Hair Haseler

This is one of my favourite pieces. It is a lovely arts and crafts silver and moonstone necklace by silversmith William Hair Haseler, who manufactured many of the designs for Liberty & Co. The archives of Tadema Gallery include a more fancy gold version of this piece, there it is listed as 'butterfly necklace'. The moonstone cabochon has a lovely blueish hue and really captures the light. The chain is scrolled and matches the pendant in style and quality. Made around 1905.
