Among the many treasures my grandma left to me was this beautiful art nouveau plique-a-jour brooch. I don't know much about it, but it sure is pretty!

It sure IS pretty! WOW !!!!
Welcome to CW!
More than pretty!!! Beautiful, in very good state for its age.
On pic 3, on the left under the needle, it seems there is a hallmark or a maker's mark I can't find out...
There are some serious collectors here, certainly they will visit your post :-)
very good introduction-) you are welcome-) kyratango will be your best friend with this kind of plique-a-jour-)
i'm back, just wanted to say, that you have on the right side the silver mark, can you add a closeup of that mark? if you have one mark.... you will also have the maker mark somewhere....
reminds me of karl Kipling or Walter Jennings of Roycrofts ...very nice
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
ment to say karl kipp ...and throw in Dard Hunter ..smiling
Thank you so much every one of you for such a warm welcome! I've been with the camera trying to capture a better photo of the mark. It's not so easy! I will not give up!
I have added pictures to Photobucket. (Please let me know if I have violated any policy by posting a url)They can be viewed at:

hi abenett, i saw your detailed pictures, but you did the back side, the silver mark is done in the front face , in the backl side we can see just " backstamp gohst" when it was stamped. it is strange that you've not found the maker mark .... sometime the pin is marked or under it.
Thanks, Paris1925. I've looked everywhere for a mark. I've taken huge pictures so that I can zoom in and look around, but I don't see anything and I don't really know what I'm looking for. If it's on the pin, it will be teensy tiny, won't it? Perhaps I should visit a jeweler tomorrow and have them look with their glass. Any other suggestions?
Paris1925, I've added photos (on Photobucket - use same link) of the face side where the mark looks to be. If you ask me, it looks like there was perhaps a stone there originally. What do you think?
Incredible! grandma had good taste!
I believe I have located a new clue! On the second page of the PB album, on the third row down, there is a close up of the mark on the back and right below it is a very small triangle! I'm giddy! I can't believe I didn't see that before!
hi adrienne, i will send you what i saw, and send me what you've seen-)
regards-)
Wow... Super pretty...
