I picked these up yesterday at auction in a job lot. I seem to be collecting chickens and roosters lately.Last week I scored a lovely Arita porcelain plate handpainted with chickens feeding.
These are lovely quality and have germany 3218.
    anyone know maker Cheers Rose

Hi Rose. Good to hear from you.

Excuse my porcelain ignorance but how do you know they are German? Is it the painting or shape? Something else? Just interested.

Ahh - it says Germany. That's pretty conclusive lol.

The style of your vases is very similar to the Royal Bayreuth's porcelain style. The vases are often metal rimmed and depict some scenes. Until 1919 they used Bavaria in their back stamp, later Germany.
