this will go so great w/ my new old orange Bauer oil jar! This is a large oil jar of some other style - w/ broad shoulders. it stands 16 inches tall and about 11 inches wide at the shoulder. i can't find a mark on it, but it's excellent quality, heavy and thickly glazed. yay!! where is the Bauer category? or architectural pottery?
these oil jars are so symbolic of the good life in california in the 20s and 30s!

i found out that this is a very rare and early oil jar made by Garden City in San Jose. they are known for their oil jars w/ a flat lip and this one has a beautifully curled one, which is very rare.
This one ticks all the boxes Ho2 !....great find ! :)
