As I have been moving things about my attention was brought to the old family photos hanging on the wall. I have taken a few from their frames and scanned them.
This one has Fenrich Fernwood written on the back. Fenrich is my grandmother's maiden name so all the Fenrichs out there may want to take note. My family has not kept in touch with that branch of the family that I know of.
Fernwood is the town where this was taken most likely. This photo would be from the 1900-1910.

I see that the sign above the door says POST OFFICE. Was the gentleman in the photo the post master?

I LOVE looking at these old photographs; my grandfather was born in 1880, so he'd have been 20-30 yrs. old in a photo like this -- I like to try to imagine what he'd have been like at this time; it just blows my mind sometimes.

Thank you very much NevadaBlades. I suspect the man is my great grandfather but I do not know if he was the postmaster. It does seem likely.

Very cool. My mom has been into 'ancestry.com' for awhile now. She loves it trying to learn about her side. Old pics of family are awesome!
