My parent sent me out to find a store on one of my town's longest roads. It leads into another county, albeit a town away it changes names on a sharp curve.
I looked at the map, thought I got it, then set off and somehow missed it. So I kept driving and ended up past one town and into the other where the road changes.
Before turning around, I parked in the Victorian-themed area and entered an antique shop where I found one bottle, then one across from it where I found many a bottle. In fact, it was full of bottles.
My favourite find is, by far, the Muskegon Brewing Co. Bottling Works bottle, from when our Brewery and Bottling Works had for a short time combined. I think it was around 1900.
I also picked up a nice little ink bottle with partial paper label. Sanford's Black Ink. Early 1900s. Quite crudely machine-made.
The Save-The-Horse was, albeit damaged, too interesting to leave behind. I haven't done much research into it yet, but it is some sort of Turn-Of-Century-Era veterinary medicine.
I also picked up a Hoster's bottle from Ohio to research. It, like the Muskegon piece, has a Baltimore Loop Seal top.
Thank you, MotorHeadMn. :)
Excellent! I also love the Muskegon Brewing Co. Bottling Works bottle.
So did you find the store you were sent to in the first place? ;P
Iggy, thank you. :)
Anna, in the end, yes. With directions. :P
