I am not sure how old this brooch is but I believe it is a vintage item. It is in very good condition, except the pin is a bit bent but I can fix that when I get a chance.
There must have been a label on the back of the brooch. I found some glue residue but the actual label was gone.

Mary, I haven't seen anything like it yet either. Most of the brooches had several small cabochons, rather than one big one. I'll keep looking:)
