These are the same pieces but the bottoms in order. There is only one marking on the third picture but it is hard to make the shape out.

Hi I noticed your piece and I have one that looks very similar to yours. I know nothing about it and was wondering if you could help me out with it? I was told that it would hold women's hair? Still not sure? Could you help me out? Thanks!

Does anyone have any idea what era this is from and what they were used for?
