    This cast iron gas stove bank was made be Bernstein in NYC around 1901. It measures about 5-1/2 inches high. The base, top and front are made of cast iron and the side and back is one piece of pressed steel.

      Old cast iron looks so different from modern cast iron:

      Most of his postings are questionable items-- hope he didn't pay too much for the lesson!

      Thanks Scott, I can't understand why he won't post more photos? It looks like pot metal with a brass finish.
      I agree on the other stuff as well. There is a lot of that stuff being sold that have been authenticated with papers that are fakes.
