Something I picked up from a friend of mine who he picked up from a friend of his is to add items to a bookcase along with the books.
The rocks used to be in the windowsill where I keep the insulators now.
Back in the long long ago when I read books I read a lot of swords and sorcery along with the Bantam War books. I was partial to the Conan series along with Lord of the Rings. Bought many of the books used in the 1980s and they were old then. Bought a couple at used books stores in the last couple years and they were a bit more expensive.
The rocks are mostly geodes and quartz. I know little about them. One of those things where I buy what I think looks nice.
Very nice collection, plenty to read on cold winter nights. Those Tolkien editions were the ones I first read in the seventies, I love the covers on the ones from the sixties best though. Conan, Red Sonja, Kull, Kane, John Carter, all entertaining.
