    Hi CW Gang:

Found this yesterday too. Thought it just looked NEAT. Very UFO, Atomic Shape Singer Plastic case with very clean Button Hole maker inside with attachments. Nice Teal Blue Color, and Atomic shape. It just grabbed my eye, and I thought.......Why I have everything else here....LOL.

Thanks for LOOKING // LOVING !!

Great atomic design which really gives this item the oomph it deserves.

Do you still have the Singer? So cool! My mom has a few of these, I'll have to remind her not to give them to Goodwill now that the parts don't work with her new machine. Love it! Thanks for the memory :-)

Oh yes, my gran owned two or three Singers, and each came with its add-ons in a kit like that. I passed on the oldest machine to my daughter along with kit and sewing bench. Another machine I gave to a favorite niece of hers, and kept one for me, even though I have a Brother sewing machine from the 70s that I use. Do they even teach girls how to sew anymore? Thanks for sharing, Rose, great memories. :)

~ @katherinescollections --> Thanks, for the comment!! I do not know if they still teach sewing anymore. You would think so, along with some simple math skills too. I also wonder if the ** plastic ** of this sewing item could be MELMAC ( Melamine ) as it does kinda look like these?? I do not know??

Hi Rose and Katherine - no, schools on my side of the country don't teach sewing anymore. However, paid-for classes are very popular here. I LOVED HomeEc in high school and everyone who is my age (girls & guys) enjoy reminiscing about the "forced class: HomeEc". I feel sorry for my 70's teachers Mrs. Stegge and Mrs. Lichter for putting up with us goofing off: burning bisquits or the guys burning the shirt while ironing...but when it came time for final project everyone seemed to take pride in getting an A in HomeEc.

To get an A each student had to make or bake or cook something or show proficiency at a skill and display it to the school during HomeEc finals week. So creative - so fun.
