Large and Unusual Sterling and Amber Inlay Brooch

This brooch looked really bad when I got it. The silver was tarnished and the amber was dirty. I cleaned it very carefully and returned to its former glory.

The brooch is marked with "925" and another small mark I cannot read. I think it could be Baltic amber, but I am not sure. The brooch is around 3.5 inches.

In my humble opinion the brooch is very well made and of good quality.

I am not sure about the age. I think it could date to around the 1980's or a bit later.
