Matchbox Sears Service Staion Carrying Case Made By Ideal Circa 1968

In Model Cars > Matchbox Cars > Show & Tell and Toys > Ideal Toys > Show & Tell.

    OK I think I got everything in the title but I will expand on that a bit. Ideals Toys made vinyl cases along with vacuuform pieces. When other companies needed something they did not have the equipment to make they would farm in out to another company.
    In this case Sears wanted a product for their catalog which required Matchbox (aka Lesney) and Ideal Toys to join up.
    As to the toy this is a carrying case which opens up to be a service station. In the last photo it can be seen that there is section where 9 cars can be stored. Sadly the gas pumps are missing but there are the racks and the upper parking. Seems to go well with Matchbox City so I picked this up despite the missing gas pump section.
