    The foot has a rough snapped pontil and marked WALSH.

      Thanks for the nice comments is appreciated.
      I was quite surprised to see this item siting on a shelf in a second hand shop with a price tag of only $5 and think maybe people though it was plastic or a cheap Asian knock off but for me it was love at first sight and as soon as i felt the weight knew it was special and with the WALSH mark stamped on the snapped pontil made my heart beat faster and yes rings beautifully. cheers
