Another one of the brooches I inherited. It is stamped BSK . Definitely different, but very cool!

That is a color-change sapphire. Expose it to natural light, fluorescent light & incandescent light. It will change colors. (It is NOT Alexandrite, though!)
Probably lab-created. The large ones usually are.
