This partnership between Whitehall Jewelers and Hammond Clocks was short lived but produced some of the most opulent clocks of the Art Deco period and the Hirsch figures were the Icing on the cake. These clocks were not cheap back then which led to their demise during the Depression. Both companies survived The Great Depression, we know Whitehall Jewelers as Kay Jewelers, and while they quit producing clocks in 1941, Laurens Hammond's became Hammond Organ which he invented. These Whitehall - Hammond Clocks led to my interest in J. B. Hirsch items.

Picture 1. Sabers and Swords pirate with white onyx clock and base. This was the clock that led to my interest in J B Hirsch. This is one of two that I have come across.

Picture 2. Sophisticated Lady clock and garnitures, she is the most opulent of the Whitehall - Hammond clocks, green onyx base, clock and garnitures.

Picture 3. Pixies, originally this clock would have had a movement like the Sophisticated lady movement above it, This is the mantle clock version, a table top version was manufactured with a rectangular clock.

Picture 4 Harlequin table top clock. She is my favorite, she sits on a green onyx base next to a green onyx clock, She is on a chest in the foyer of my home.
