One for the tool enthusiasts. What is this wonderful looking tool. I have tried to undo the bottom bar but it won't budge, there's probably a way to do it so please let me know. Neil

The answer to your question may be revealed when you expose the 2 markings on the handle. I suggest you wire brush the area, then run chalk across them. Then post your findings, and we will go to work on it. Very Interesting Tool Indeed!

There is a horse or lion picture then AGIFB FONDU on the bottom handle.
The top handle says L HUGGMNIGT TISSOT. Which brings me to believe it's something to do with a watchmaker ??. Neil

You have an old watchmakers main spring tool.

This is a very cool tool. My friend would have loved this! Tissot's are very nice watches, although I think I would have used some fine steel wool instead of a wire brush. Am I wrong about that?
    15. Collectables59 Collectables59, 3 years ago
I was able to read the inscription without cleaning it, so no tissot tools were hurt during this production ha ha
