For Muncie Pottery collectors and art pottery lovers: The Gill Clay Pot Company was the originating company eventually becoming Muncie Pottery. You can google search the history. CHECK OUT THIS COOL ARTIFACT ... it’s a salesman’s sample or promotional item (to hold paper clips?) for “No 10 Batch Tank Blocks”. These would’ve been full size, of course, and were probably bricks to line glass pots or the furnaces ... anybody know? Small piece, about 3” x 1-1/2”. If you think about it this MIGHT be one of the EARLIEST PRODUCTION PIECES IN EXISTENCE of the Gill/Muncie Pot/Pottery Company. Fun item! Should be in a museum?
