These were some of my recent finds at the Flea Market. First is a Boy Scouts of America Official First Aid Kit. It's a 6"h x 4"w x 2"d green with red lettering and a first-aid cross, metal box, with a hinged and latching cover, prepared by Johnson & Johnson. It has a list of items that are supplied in the(now empty) Kit, on the inside of the cover, it also has two belt loops on the back, for carrying on the Scouts belt. To the left side of the Kit is a 1940 Boy Scouts membership card, for Troup 40 Louisville, Kentucky, and also the National Council N.Y.,New York, until 1941. Laying flat in front is a 1965 membership card for Troup 33 Mill Valley, Calif. To the right of the Kit is a 1966 First Class Scout certification card for the San Francisco Bay Area Council. Directly in front of the Kit is a small book Indians of America by Lillian Davids Fazzini copyright 1935 with a forward by Dan Beard, that reads in part "I would not be surprised if the demand for it by the Scouts, Cubs, Camp Fire Girls, and Girl Scouts, put the Indian book among the best sellers."
The brown folding pocket knife to the right of the Kit is a Boy Scout, by Imperial Prov. USA. In front of that is the green Girl Scout folding pocket knife, by Kutmaster Utica N. Y. In the very front is what I call a Fixed Blade Survival Knife, it's made by Imperial Prov. R.I., and has a 5" blade, with a sawtooth top edge, and 3 3/4" handle. You might call it something else! :^D
Thank you for looking, I'll try to answer any questions, and all comments are welcome! :^)
