This is an exceptional example and likely one of a kind Hippie Folk Art. Custom-made Hippie Bohemian Lace-Up Real Leather Studded & Riveted High Rise Hot Pants / Shorts. The psychedelic multi-colored leather abstract imagery couple with the moon inside of the sun on the backside - just extraordinary. Came to me from Washington State where many of the hippies migrated when priced out of San Francisco.. and to get back to nature. A little soiled from wear but it does not distract from the importance of this Hippie Fashion Statement.
As soon as I stop laughing over a memory, I'll continue ! LOL!! (5 mins. later). Gasp, gasp ! I stopped in Cruz Bay, St John (USVI) to visit some friends and picked up a German girl. Next morning, we show up at the breakfast table of friends at "Cruz Quarters/Texas Coast" and we are standing there while I'm introducing Ina, who is wearing super tight lederhosen. My friends are looking her over and remarks centre around the tight lederhosen. One comment was, "Surf & turf". The pickup was slow, but made it's round while Ina is saying, "Vat, vat! Vat did he say?". After 7 yrs., off, but more on, with her, I still didn't get her to understand.
