    I believe this is a stoneware beer bottle corker l got it on eBay he sold it as a sausage stuffer. I didn't know then but I have stoneware bottle so I tried it out worked great. I date it between 1850 to 1870. Glass took over. Heavy Cast Iron and Brass weighs about 5 lbs. It must have had a rubber gasket so it did'nt chip the bottle when you pushed the cork down. Her post was 8 years ago. hope she sees the answer.

      Actually Karenoke, postings have dropped dramatically since the takeover & with all the screw-ups. I quit posting because nothing seems to be getting done to correct the problems & more keep developing.

      It's going on close to a year & the "Bowler Hats" only seem to make it worse. Face it. We aren't paying for their yachts etc..
