    This compote or candy dish is 6 1/2” diameter, 5 1/4” tall. The footer is dense black glass, can’t see ANY light through it or purple/amethyst. Top rim is ground. When tapped it has a sustained bell ring. The footer is not pontiled or ground polished. How old? Wonder who made it (it has no signature)? Welcome your thoughts! Thanks!
