When I was a little girl, my daddy bought a saw from a gentleman to make picture frames. My daddy was a collector of hobbies. He never met one he didn't love! His shop in the back was loaded with pieces of wood and everything that could be framed...was. I discovered this saw in my husband's shop and we saw the patent date was December 27, 1887. It was made in Indianapolis, Indiana and the company was >>>Atkins & Co.

Atkins and Disston made almost all the old miterbox saws in the USA even though not all have those companies name on them
