This National Archives photograph shows LCI 220 stuck on the beach after unloading troops on 10 JUL 1943.

The LCI suffered over 24 hours of artillery bombardment and aerial attacks while stuck on the beach.

I have the American Flag that can be seen flying in the photograph along with the original hand written After Action Review of the events. Several other LCI 220 items from my collection are already posted on CW.
