I posted pics of this here on CW a long time ago. I was wondering whether it was jade or not. Some suggested that it was a beautiful marble or serpentine. I've used it to photograph thousands of pieces on it and never a scratch on it. in fact, it gets more beautiful the more i handle it. I've determined that it is nephrite [jade] possibly from British Colombia. I have some marble pieces i use for the same purpose, and those are all scratched up even though i don't use them as much.

      ho2cultcha, Cool.

Yup, chrysotile seems too low on the Mohs scale, however, this is interesting:

      *snip*

Jade City gets its name because of the large outcrops of high-quality jade mined throughout the Cassiar Mountain Range accounting for about 75% of the world's supply.

i am not good in this so your shots are as good as mine , i think chrystolite doesnt match with the abrasion criteria
2 the color is teal and not parakeet
3 they are cut out of boulders, so you need big boulders and layers to cut, cassian is i think the main probability,
4 this is outstanding piece leave it this way
