I have this tool tucked away somewhere?? I think it's some kind of old wood plane?? The 1/2" cutting edge can be adjusted for depth of cut.

Looks like a laminate trimmer. Now days you would use a router with an edge guide to do the same job but quicker.

I believe that is a shop built Router. It is for cutting to a set depth, such as a hinge pocket, or for inlays. A manufactured version would be a Stanley #71. You would use it as it sets in the first picture, the bolt on the back could be loosened to set the depth of the cutter. Nice find!!!! Regards, Lou
