I’ve no clue if this is done by anyone well known, but I think it is WELL DONE. A very local feel to it...shotgun houses of south Louisiana. If anyone is familiar with the artist, I’d love to know more.

Shotgun houses, like old barns....it’s becoming rare to see them in the landscape. You drawing makes a good historical record of a vanishing site.

Shotgun homes can still be seen around here, in a row as well.
The term "Shotgun House" came from the Architecture of the homes. When you open the front door, it is a Direct Shot to the back door...You could shoot a shell straight through.
When I recollect, I will some this Spring take some photos. There are still these going back to the days of slavery here in the U.S. used as slave quarters..Not far from me at all.

I’m 48, living in south Louisiana. Growing up, there were still families living in what had originally been slave houses. Eventually the older generations died and the younger would buy a trailer to put on the family land by the house and the house would go derelict due to lack of funds.
