This is my favourite Orena Paris set. I purchased these vintage, unworn, Mint condition pieces in Calgary at an antique store. How it came to be here in this city is unknown — to both the previous owner and, therefore, of course, me. All pieces are marked.
Orena was a French Jewellery Company, located in France, that manufactured high quality costume jewellery under the brand name “Orena Paris.” It existed from 1977 to 2005. The entire making process was hand done — including assembling, polishing. The jewellers of Orena used gold and silver tone alloy, often textured. When enamels were used, they were usually the colour of the French flag — red, blue, white. But pieces with green, purple and black enamel do exist. The company also used rhinestones, art glass and crystals in the manufacture of jewellery. (Info from: nasvete.com and other sources.)
