This is a lovely small vase (just 7 inches from the base to the highest point). It is in excellent condition.
The vase has an unpolished pontil.
The rim around the top shows light green under my black light but I wasn't able to get a photo of it.
I have no idea about the age or region of manufacturing.
Thanks for looking:)
Many thanks for the love, vetraio50:)
I forgot to mention that I believe that the dark red glass colour might be called "oxblood".
Pretty JIP vase. The shape is adapted after the woodland plant, Jack in the Pulpit. The colour is considered just ruby. The opalescent on the rim is a nice touch. Bohemian for sure, 1900-1905. Kralik is a great contender, but could be from another glasshouse. This shape came in other decors as well and with mica inclusions.
lovely deep red
Glassiegirl, thank you so much for your information! I thought that the vase was old but I had no idea how old it was and where it might come from. I really appreciate your help:)
Thanks so much for your comment, kivatinitz:)
Love the flawed ruby look!
Thanks for your comment, Ms.CrystalShip:)
Many thanks, kwqd, glassiegirl, LOUMANAL, and MALKEY :)
